Promoting Awareness, Fostering Support.

Working together to maintain a space of support, education and outreach throughout the Bayou City

Project Semicolon Houston chapter serves as a hub of awareness, information and support for all things mental health-related throughout the greater Houston area. The chapter is led by Marcel Wormsley, local mental health advocate and organizer of a series of informal biweekly peer support gatherings through his meetup group Houston Friends for Mental Health Awareness and Support.

We have a threefold mission:

  1. Support people with mental illnesses and their families by helping them find coping mechanisms for their daily struggle with brain disorders.
  2. Educate people who have mental illness, their families, and the general public about mental illness with the goal of dispelling ignorance and stigma.
  3. Advocate for more research and an improved system of mental health services in our community, as well as across the nation.
