As a veteran that changed from a soldier to a civilian and a person that changed careers late in life, I know transition and life well. I understand that transition and life are words used to sum up, change, and reason(s) for living. However, those words don’t encompass the different facets that can cause a person to be filled with anxiety, confusion, depression, and unexplainable moods—the feelings do not allow you to present the best version of yourself, for yourself and others. It is important to understand those feelings and then implement what is required to control your journey.

Working with veterans, women, and teens, my goal after graduating is to be a therapist that helps people find and be their own voice, harness their strengths, and implement tools to tame those emotions.
