Suicide Support Routing
This is a short support-routing check-in for thoughts of suicide or feeling unable to stay safe. It is not a prediction tool and does not assign a “risk score.” Its purpose is to help surface immediate support options.
About this assessment
This tool is designed for self-reflection and support navigation. It is not a diagnosis. Results should be interpreted in context, especially when symptoms are severe, persistent, or affecting daily life.

About the evidence: Project Semicolon original suicide-support routing check-in. It is not a validated risk scale and must not be used to predict suicide or replace emergency or clinical assessment.
Project Semicolon reviews assessment wording, scoring logic, safety routing, and source status separately from the directory experience. Custom check-ins are clearly distinguished from validated instruments.

Suicide prevention FAQs
Is this a suicide-risk score?
No. The tool does not predict whether someone will attempt suicide. It uses direct answers only to surface appropriate support options.
Can I use a crisis line even if I am not sure I would act on the thoughts?
Yes. You do not need to wait until you are certain or at the point of acting to contact a crisis or suicide-support service.
What if I am worried about someone else?
You can contact many crisis services for guidance about supporting another person and deciding what immediate steps may be appropriate.
What if I have already hurt myself or overdosed?
Seek urgent medical help. Some injuries or overdoses can be dangerous even when symptoms are not obvious yet.
