At Project Semicolon, our policy and advocacy efforts are dedicated to creating meaningful change by urging national, state, and local governments to prioritize mental health as a fundamental aspect of public policy. We focus on addressing the root causes and risk factors that contribute to mental health challenges—such as economic inequality, access to healthcare, social stigma, and systemic barriers—while simultaneously promoting protective measures that foster resilience and well-being across communities.
We believe that achieving widespread mental health improvements requires a proactive, multi-sectoral approach. That’s why our Policy and Public Affairs team works closely with our Research and Programs teams to turn real-world data and community insights into actionable solutions. Together, we advocate for initiatives that address urgent needs, such as improving access to mental health care, supporting trauma-informed education, and driving workplace mental health reforms.
In addition to policy development, we partner with community organizations, nonprofits, and corporate stakeholders to amplify our impact. By collaborating with diverse voices and fostering cross-sector partnerships, we aim to create environments where every individual has the tools and support to thrive, regardless of their circumstances.
