Programs

Our programs are at the core of our mission to inspire hope and support mental health for all.

We focus on exploring and implementing effective ways to prevent mental health struggles in individuals and communities. By tailoring our initiatives to meet the needs of specific groups, we aim to address the root causes of mental health challenges and create lasting impact.

Every program we develop is grounded in research, ensuring it is both meaningful and sustainable. We collaborate with partners and communities to design evidence-informed initiatives that empower individuals and foster resilience. Together, we’re building a world where no one faces mental health challenges alone.

Our Programs

Semicolon Helps

Semicolon Helps is a compassionate initiative by Project Semicolon dedicated to supporting families and survivors affected by suicide. The program offers financial assistance for expenses such as funerals, memorial services, school support resources, granite memorials or headstones, urns, caskets, bio-cleaning services, and semicolon tattoos. To date, Semicolon Helps has assisted over 230 families, providing both financial aid and emotional support during their time of need. Families seeking assistance can apply through a simple form on our website.

World Semicolon Day

Every year on April 16th, we unite individuals and communities worldwide to share stories of hope, resilience, and remembrance. With events, partnerships, and initiatives like discounted semicolon tattoos, we aim to make mental health visible and ensure no one feels alone in their journey.

Semicolon Play

Project Semicolon's initiative to partner with gaming companies and communities to promote mental health awareness and suicide prevention. By integrating meaningful symbols like the semicolon badge into games, we aim to reach younger audiences where they are, sparking conversations about mental health and offering resources in a space they feel comfortable. This program leverages the power of gaming to inspire hope, build resilience, and create a more connected and supportive digital world.

The Semicolon

The Semicolon Program is the heart of Project Semicolon, using the semicolon symbol as a powerful reminder of hope and perseverance. Representing a pause, not an end, the semicolon inspires individuals to continue their stories, even in the face of mental health challenges. Through awareness campaigns, educational resources, and semicolon tattoos, this program fosters connection, reduces stigma, and empowers people worldwide to choose hope and resilience.

Awareness & Education

Awareness & Education is at the heart of Project Semicolon’s mission to break the silence around mental health and suicide prevention. Through community events, school outreach, public campaigns, and digital resources, we equip individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to support themselves and others. This program includes in-depth articles, self-assessment tools, social media campaigns, and classroom materials designed to spark conversation and foster understanding. From viral movements to local workshops, Project Semicolon is committed to making mental health education accessible to all.

Supporter Engagement

Supporter Engagement is how Project Semicolon activates its global community to take meaningful action. Whether it’s through volunteering, joining local chapters, participating in World Semicolon Day, or becoming a mental health advocate, this program creates pathways for supporters to get involved. We offer resources, toolkits, and hands-on opportunities that empower individuals to share their stories, support others, and lead local change. With thousands of active supporters worldwide, this program is the foundation of our grassroots movement for hope and healing.
